The Town of Victoria Park is full of interesting people. It never ceases to amaze me who lives here. We are a hotbed of talent!
You may have noticed we just had a state election (hard to miss that one!) and have just changed government as a consequence. Did you know that publically available records tell us that at least three of the new cabinet members will be from, or own property in the Town of Victoria Park?
Talk about well represented!
In the last week I have met three published authors who all live in the Town.
We have a CEO of a major sporting team who lives locally. There is a contracted Australian Soccer player who gets his coffee on our strip when he’s home.
We have nationally recognized artists who survive on their art (no mean feat!).
We have professional beautiful people (models) who call Victoria Park home.
Many of Australia’s Hockey players are based locally. Look out for those AIS tracksuits on the strip.
Some of our state’s most talented communicators own in the Town of Victoria Park. The owner of a very successful advertising agency, pre-eminent PR people who shape the way decisions are made and shared with the people of Western Australia (and you thought we controlled our own thoughts!) and some of Western Australia’s longest serving journo’s.
And then there are our local heroes, people who put the needs of this community ahead of their own. Whether they a fighting for change, own a local business, looking after others, running community programmes – just watch it’s the same exceptional people who put their hand up time after time.
My work has me meeting people in Victoria park day in day out. And I never cease to be amazed by the calibre of humans we are surrounded by!

Post Script – I have deliberately not named names, as much as I would love to give kudos and celebrate these special humans, privacy is a paramount consideration. These people are on the whole, past clients whom I owe a duty of confidentiality to.
