We successfully sold a house in East Victoria Park through Derek and Lee a few years ago, before moving to South Perth. Co-incidentally, in recent months, Derek was the selling agent for the house in Victoria Park we wished to purchase. Dealing with Derek from the other side, from a buyer’s point-of-view, was just as pleasing as the experience we had when we’d used him as our selling agent.
As our offer was subject-to-sale, Derek spent time navigating us through the contract deviations and putting in clauses so we would have sufficient time to sell our house. As we were very happy with the service we’d received the first time, we decided to use Derek and Lee to sell our house in South Perth. Again, we were happy with the way they marketed our house. Derek, as always, was very fastidious in his recommendations as to how we should best present our house to attract buyers and came with the photographer to help with the photo shoot. The accompanying online advertisement was professionally well-worded, and the content carefully considered.
Both Derek and Lee embrace new technology and marketing channels, such as online marketing and social media, as tools to promote real estate, so we were confident our property would get maximum exposure online. They also utilize traditional promotional tools such as signboards; Derek also created exposure and generated interest in our property by liaising with the West Australian and getting our house featured in the newspaper.
Within six days of being on the market, Derek negotiated us an offer we were happy with. As the people buying our house were also subject to the sale of their home, Derek had to make contract amendments to achieve the near-impossible feat of all three properties settling on the same day.
When Derek was unavailable, Lee was always very quick to respond to any emails or text messages with queries we had. It was great to have her as a point of contact, and to have two estate agents working for us.
All three properties are due to settle tomorrow, and then Derek will have successfully orchestrated a three-way house swap!
