Now that the dust has settled on the sale of our house, we wanted to take a moment to thank you for your efforts. Lee, although I have not met you directly, I know you were working hard behind the scenes to free up Derek to excel at his clearly-excellent negotiation skills. Derek, your manner was very personable and, at the same time, pleasantly direct – which is just the right kind of mix I wanted from someone to negotiate the best price on our behalf.
In the end we sold our home with not too many home opens, which is a relief with a small child refusing to keep the place tidy. We’ve always loved living in East Vic Park and took the decision to leave with a heavy heart – that is why we weren’t exactly jumping with joy with the sale of the house; it came with mixed feelings.
As I became aware of your Vic Park-focused blog and Facebook Page I could see you were in love with the area as well and are a genuine and active part of the community. Your enthusiastic engagement with the town, its people and its businesses actually deepened our sadness at leaving this suburb we’ve called home for nine years. But anyway, it’s on to bright new beginnings in another community town, Guildford. Thanks again for your efforts and all the best for the future – who knows we may need you to help us buy back in to the suburb one day in the future.
