It’s that time on the Town’s social calendar when a section of our ‘hood’ (Albany Highway between Mint and Dane Streets) transforms in readiness for the annual Christmas Street Mall festivities.
Children clamber for Ben Wyatt’s famous pinwheels. Do not be the parent who turns up with your children to find that they’re all gone – it’s not worth the pain. Plan ahead and get there early.
The familiar aroma of sausages sizzling, satay sticks being fanned, paella with the perfect crust, Imp coffee and so much more will be sure to tempt you – dinner will be on the strip Sunday.
Rides for the cherubs and bouncy castles, animal farms and Santa, Christmas Carols, balloon wars and the introduction of the new Artisan Alley (looking forward to this one a lot).
Mark it in your calendars, tee up that get-together with friends you’ve been planning but never managed to make happen.
And if you’re sans les enfants, there’s always a cold ale or two to be had at the Balmoral, people watching and marvelling at this/your/my #vicparklife
