Sunday mornings in Victoria Park will never be the same again!

On Sunday 9 March 2014 the Victoria Park Farmer’s Market will commence trading at John McMillan Park, Kent St, East Victoria Park every Sunday from 8am to 11am.

The markets will be run by the Parents and Citizens Association of the Victoria Park Primary School with all profits going directly into purchasing much needed books and equipment for the ever increasing population of children at the school.

The Market is expected to start with over 30 specialty food stalls with a range of organic and gluten free produce. The emphasis will be on fresh, organic, locally produced and sustainable food. The food will come direct from growers and food producers in the Perth and South West WA region.

• Fruit and veg, meats (including seafood), dairy, bread and condiments.
• Eateries with delicious meals and snacks including juices, drinks and coffee.
• A range of locally produced pre-packaged meals for busy families to take home.

The vision of this market is to create and continually support a culturally diverse community hub that serves as a meeting place for families, students, pensioners and other members of the local and wider community to socially interconnect within the hub.

John McMillan Park is a fantastic location with playgrounds for kids whilst their parents shop, plenty of shade under the large fig trees and loads of parking right next door.
“A lot of people have worked hard to make this market happen and we hope the community will embrace it” said Vicki Potter, P&C President, “We are also keen for our market to do its bit to not only help our school but be a supporter of the wider community.”

There will be 3 FREE stalls available at the market each week –

• other local schools for their own fundraising activities
• charitable or not-for-profit organisations to advertise or fundraise and
• local businesses to advertise.

For more details please call Vicki Potter on 0433 704 140 email: vicki.potter217@iinet.net.au or Felicity Cain on 0415 265 044 or felicitys@gmail.com.
